Bishop Paul’s Week of Prayer

St Peter's prayer

Bishop Paul has completed his week of prayer, praying and preaching at several evening prayer gatherings and visiting Christian’s in their places of work to pray with them.

The week of prayer started on Sunday 19th June at St Peter’s in Ruddington. The church was packed for a time of worship and prayer which focused on the theme of growing disciples together.

There was the same enthusiasm and more full churches when prayer gatherings were held at St Peter’s, Ravenshead, on Monday, St Helen’s, Stapleford, on Tuesday, St Swithun’s, Woodborough, on Wednesday, and St Savior’s, Retford, on Thursday.

On each day, Bishop Paul has also met with Christian individuals in their workplaces to give thanks for the ministry of all God’s people, especially in sharing the extraordinary invitation to be a follower of Jesus Christ. On Monday he visited the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, and King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton: on Tuesday he went to UPS Logistics, in Nottingham, to meet Anne Coyne, on Wednesday he went to E.ON at Annesley to meet Rachael Burn and members of the Christians in Business group, and Nottingham Trent University to meet Dr Chris Tinsley, a Lecturer in Pharmacology and Neuroscience; on Thursday he went to Primary Site, Newark, and on Friday to Far Composites, Ruddington.
