Listen Hear Youth and Children’s Summit

In October 2015 Senior Staff and Bishops gathered to meet with children and young people aged 7-19 for creative activities and discussion in small groups.

Discussions are underway in each deanery to plan localised follow up events in order to listen to more children and young people. Contact Angela to arrange one in your area.

Newstead Deanery Sat 24th Sept 9.30am-12.30/1pm St Helen’s Selston NG16 6EW

Hi we are a group of young people based in the Southwell and Nottingham diocese encouraging young people to interact with one another and raise their voices regarding events, decisions, etc which will effect them within the church; all whilst having a good time!

If you want to have your say and are in Year 8 or above then a SANDYouth is just one way of finding your voice and making it heard.

We’ve been on our second residential at Bonsall Camp in April. We explored ‘Who We Are and What We Do’ with some help from Hannah from Christian Aid to help us find our voice and with Ben, Sports Ambassador, with team building games. We always have fun, worship, food, prayer, food, planning, games and more and all for just £30.

We’re now preparing for our event for young people on Saturday 19th November at St John’s Hucknall 1-4.30pm

New people are always welcome to our meetings and events throughout the year. Information and consent forms can be obtained from Angela

You’ll get to chat with others in the same place as you, listen to lots of people (including a Bishop) who have heard God’s Call and are in the place God wants them to be. We will also pray together and worship God. Arrive around 6pm on Friday 2pm on Sunday
