NEWS: MINISTRY VACANCIES JULY 2008

Southwell & Nottingham Diocese is a great place to be in ministry for mission!  We have generous churchgoers, lovely churches and our cathedral is a gem.  It’s a varied and exciting area to live in, with excellent access to other parts of the UK.  We take care of our clergy with good quality vicarages and supportive deanery colleagues. Fresh stipendiary/non-stipendiary/retiring/part-time clergy are welcome!

NOTTINGHAM ARCHDEACONRY VACANCIES:
 

Wilford St Wilfrid, Suburban parish on the southern banks of the river Trent which has church-aided primary and secondary schools.  We need a new Priest in Charge with a clear mission focus and educational skills.

Clifton, Team Rector
Challenging and fulfilling team leadership role in outer urban estate of 27,000 people on the southern edge of Nottingham City.  Three churches, two on the estate and one ancient parish church in the original Clifton village.  1.25 team vicars and 6 Readers in the ministry team.  Strong mission and community involvement.

Hyson Green St Stephen & St Paul, Priest in Charge
Large multi-ethnic city parish one mile north of Nottingham City centre, CPAS patronage.

Thriving and authentic congregation with demanding ministry opportunities, especially to asylum seekers.  The Vine Centre, attached to the parish church is integral to the parish mission serving the local community through a variety of social, family and child care projects with paid management.  One full time curate in training, one Reader and strong lay leadership.

The post requires a team leader in mission with strong strategic management skills.
