Mark welcomed back to diocese
The Revd Mark Tanner has returned to his roots in Nottinghamshire. He was licensed by Bishop Paul Williams as vicar of St Mary’s Radcliffe-on-Trent and St Peter & St Paul’s, Shelford on Thursday 7th September.
He said: “To be back in Southwell & Nottingham Diocese is such a joy and at Radcliffe, Shelford and Newton a real privilege. It is the parish where I was first ordained over 30 years ago and the welcome we have received has been outstanding. With the encouragement of Bishop Paul whose sermon was inspirational, we look forward to growing the Kingdom on this side of the River Trent!”
Mark and his wife Sue have three children and five grandchildren. He was previously vicar of St John’s, Hartley Wintney with Evetham, Winchfield and Dogmersfield in the Diocese of Winchester.
