New MU President commissioned
Pat Brewin was commissioned as the New President of Southwell & Nottingham Diocese Mothers’ Union, at a service led by the Bishop of Southwell on Sunday 17th January.
Pat, who has been an active member of the organisation for more than 30 years, said:
“The Commissioning Service in the Minster was a very special act of worship. The service was exceedingly well planned and put together by Jacqui Jones, with superb music and an excellent sermon, which we all needed to hear at the beginning of a new group of Trustees as we enable each other to use our God given gifts so we can fully function as a team.
“I just felt so exceedingly uplifted and really privileged! The refreshments were fantastic – such an excellent selection of cakes provided by Mansfield Deanery.
“What a sending out at the beginning of this new exciting strand of my ministry.”
Pat was interviewed by Frances Finn on Radio Nottingham before her commissioning. You can listen to it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03dt7pl
