3 Christians in Sport event - Diocesan Sport Ambassador, Tim Friend will be at St Mary’s Church, Attenborough at 7.30pm to tell us how to talk about how to combine sport and faith an easy, non-cringe way. Please come and, if possible, bring a sporting or drinking friend with you.
3, 4, 5 Clifton Music & Flower Festival 2008. All performances begin at 7.30pm at St Mary’s Church, Clifton Village. Thu 3rd – Northern Saxophone Quartet; Fri 4th – New Orleans Heat; Sat 5th – The Newstead Abbey Singers. Tickets £10 per evening, £25 for all three performances, including interval refreshments. 5 Gedling Village Family Gala, Willow Park, off Jessops Lane, Gedling. 30th Anniversary. Parade 1.15pm, Official Opening by the Mayor of Gedling at 1.30pm. Marching Band, Arena Events, Dance Demonstration, Archery, 'Gedling's Got Talent' performance marquee, inflatable slides, Gedling Beach for sandcastle making, Punch & Judy and lots of stalls run by local groups. Visit the All Hallows Outreach Stall for free popcorn. Admission £1 Children 50p (accompanied children free).
5-7 Shelford Flower Festival “For all the Saints”. 10am-5pm. Refreshments at Village Hall, Saturday and Sunday. Sun 6th July only: Street Market, 10am-5pm and gardens open.
