NEWS: Comings & Goings

The Revd Stephen Jarratt, currently Team Rector of Clifton Team Ministry and Area Dean of West Bingham Deanery in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham, has been appointed to the post of Priest-in-Charge of Haxby with Wiggington in the Diocese of York.

The Revd Helen Bridger has been appointed as Assistant Curate in the parishes of St Patrick's Nuthall and Holy Trinity, Kimberley. She will work alongside the Revd Barbara Holbrook for a period of 2 years.  Helen has ministered in a parish in the United States for the past few years. Licensing details to follow.

The Revd Richard Goodhand, Vicar at Blidworth with Rainworth in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham, to be Priest-in-Charge of Ollerton with Boughton (United Benefice) in the same diocese.  The Licensing by the Bishop of Southwell & Nottingham will take place on Sunday 21 September at 3pm at Ollerton, St Paulinus parish church.

The Revd Glyn Jones, Vicar at St Saviour in the Meadows, Nottingham resigned the post on his retirement on 30 June 2008.

The Revd Karen Young has been appointed to the post of Mental Health Chaplain in the Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust with effect from 9 June.  She will also continue as Curate at Ravenshead, St Peter.

The Revd Colin Bourne, currently Curate in the parish of All Saints, Wellington with St Catherine's Eyton in the Diocese of Lichfield, to be Priest-in-Charge of Toton, St Peter in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham.  Licensing details to follow.

The Revd Colin Wall presently Curate at Hedon w Paull in the Diocese of York, to be Priest-in-Charge, Tuxford with Weston and Markham Clinton with a significant link with Tuxford School.  He will be licensed by the Bishop of Southwell and Nottingham on Tuesday 9 September 2008 at 7pm at Tuxford parish church.

The Revd David Hammond, currently Curate at All Saints' Preston on Tees with St Mary's Long Newton in the Diocese of Durham, has been appointed to the post of Pioneer Ordained Missioner and also to be Priest-in-Charge at St Saviour's in the Meadows, Nottingham in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.

The Revd Jerry Lepine to be Area Dean of the new Nottingham North Deanery continuing in his current role as Rector at Wollaton, St Leonard in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham.  Licensing details to follow.

The Revd Canon Ruth Worsley, currently Priest-in-Charge at Hyson Green, to be Priest-in-Charge of Sneinton, St Christopher in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham, and also Area Dean of the new Nottingham South Deanery. Also continuing in her role as Dean of Women's Ministry.  Licensing details to follow.

The Revd Mark Stafford, currently Team Vicar in the Retford Team Ministry with responsibility for St Michael's West Retford, in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham, to be also Retford Deanery Team Vicar for Babworth with Sutton cum Lound and Scofton with Osberton in the same Diocese.  The Licensing by the Archdeacon of Newark will take place on Thursday 3 July at 7.30pm at St John's Scofton.
