Bishop inspired by visit to school

Bishop Paul met staff and joined in with lessons when he visited Coddington C of E Primary and Nursery School.

The children explained how they were celebrating Thy Kingdom Come, the global prayer campaign that led up to Pentecost.

“It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Bishop Paul to Coddington to join in with our whole school Thy Kingdom Come celebrations,” said Executive headteacher Jon Brown.

“Each of the year groups were reflecting on one of our school’s Rainbow Values and creating prayers to ‘Shine the Light of Learning into the Fullness of life’.

“The children loved finding out about the significance of the Bishop’s Mitre, which is the same shape as our school logo.”

Bishop Paul said: “It was a delight to visit Coddington CofE Primary School and meet so many of the children who shared with me their love of learning and their pride in their school. Their exploration and engagement with different forms of prayer was inspirational.”
