General Synod Elections 2021

The nomination period for election as Proctors to the House of Clergy and to the House of Laity has now closed. There are six clergy and six lay people who have put their names forward for election to the seven available places (three for the House of Clergy and four for the House of Laity).

The names of the candidates are set out below. Please click on the candidates names to access their election address.

Voting will open on Friday 17 September and close at 11.59 pm on Friday 8 October 2021. The invitations to vote will be sent to the electors via the elections portal on 17 September. Those electors who have not provided an email address will receive the voting papers by post on that day.

Hustings will be held on 21 September (House of Clergy) and 22 September (House of Laity). Information relating to those meetings will be circulated to the electors with the voting invitations.

Results will be published here no later than the week commencing 18 October 2021.
