The diocese has a Safeguarding Advisory Panel to oversee the safeguarding work which is independently chaired and has representatives from outside of the church. Its role is to ensure proper governance of the safeguarding structures and will be assisting the diocese in ensuring that locally we implement recommendations from the national church.
