Interns commissioned by Bishop Paul

The third group of young people to complete the Diocesan Internship Programme were commissioned by Bishop Paul during a service at Holy Trinity, Southwell. The commissioning was followed by a celebration meal in the Archbishop’s Palace.

The group included nine younger leaders who undertook practical placements in parish churches as well as being trained in leadership skills, theology and personal development through the Diocese’s Younger Leadership College.

They were  joined by three younger leaders from St Werburgh’s Church in the Derby Diocese who have taken part in the interns teaching sessions.

The YLC was set up in September 2016 as part of the diocesan vision of Growing Disciples: Younger, Wider, Deeper, and has a vision to equip, resource and commission 1,000 younger leaders.
