Priest in Charge – Beck & Trent and Riverside Group

Ministerial Vacancies

Working for us as a member of clergy in one of our rural, urban, or inner city parishes will be as varied and interesting as the people of Nottinghamshire you serve. The diocese is based in the heart of the East Midlands, close to the bustling city of Nottingham, and with easy access to London by train with good transport links up, down and across the country. You can be assured of regular pastoral and spiritual support from our Discipleship and Ministry Team, ensuring that your development needs are met in your Ministerial Development Review, with opportunities for peer support and personal growth.

The parishes who make up the Beck & Trent and Riverside Group are seeking a new priest in charge to lead them into the next season of ministry. This group of churches in the Newark and Southwell Deanery are well connected with their village communities and passionate about connecting people with the love of God found in Jesus Christ. We are looking to build on the life already found here, in new and creative ways, as we respond to the changing needs of the world around us.

We are situated in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, while enjoying excellent rail links via Newark to London, York and the North.  The A1 skims past our villages and provides further connectivity.

As a diocese we are seeking to invest in these rural parishes in faith that we will continue to grow disciples wider, younger and deeper.  If you have the vision, passion and energy to reach out and deepen existing connections that lead to encounters of faith, establish new ones and work with the local rural resourcing church as a partner in mission and ministry, then please consider this post.
