Remembrance Sunday services
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Saturday evening and the new restrictions placed on religious services, there will be an impact on our plans for Remembrance Sunday services in all of our parishes this weekend.
By tradition, every year the nation unites to make sure that no-one is forgotten and to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom. But this year things will have to be different, out of necessity.
Many of our churches will be moving their Remembrance Sunday services online. Please visit our website to find out what is happening in your area.
On Remembrance Sunday 8th November, we warmly invite you to join us for a pre-recorded service from Southwell Minster. The service will include full music from a reduced choir and the Bishop’s full address.
The service will be available from 10.55am on Sunday (and available to watch later) so as many people as possible can feel part of it.
You can see it at 10.55am by visiting the Southwell Minster website: https://www.southwellminster.org/events/event/service-of-remembrance/
