The Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham is seeking to appoint a full time Net Zero Carbon (NZC) Support Officer to work within our Programme Management Office. Based in Southwell, the successful candidate will help provide increased support to local parishes to ensure their buildings are fit for missional purpose with a specific focus on NZC.
There is a commitment to a road map to NZC over the next few years which will impact almost all of our 300 churches across the diocese and this role will aid in enabling and equipping throughout this area.
The nature of the post will require a degree of mobility and flexibility, with work undertaken in locations around the Diocese and occasional meetings or training events taking place during evenings and weekends, for which time off in lieu would need to be taken.
This role has been enabled by generous funding from the national church.
