How Can I Get Involved?
YEAR 1: The Internship
Choose this option if you want to spend the year investing in your spiritual growth, receiving discipleship teaching and practical ministry training, whilst serving full time in a church ministry placement.
YEAR 2: The Internship
Choose this option if you want to spend the year investing in your spiritual growth, receiving discipleship and leadership teaching, and practical leadership opportunities, whilst serving full time in a church ministry placement
The Apprentice track
(Programme Only)
Choose this option if you want to spend the year investing in your spiritual growth and receiving discipleship teaching, alongside your other commitments.
The Leadership Track
(Programme Only)
Choose this option if you want to spend the year investing in your formation as a disciple and leader, alongside your other commitments.
What does it look like?
Our vision for this programme is that every participant finishes the year walking closer to Jesus than when they started. We do this by learning (and re-learning!) what it means to be a disciple, growing in faith through patterns of worship, teaching, reflection, prayer, service and community. FAQs
We are able to offer diocesan accommodation to a limited number of participants, due to a limited capacity in diocesan housing. We are committed to helping each intern find an arrangement for accommodation that best suits the year ahead – whether that is diocesan housing, staying at home, living with a family from church, or something else.
It is free to participate in the intern programme. Participants receive a living allowance of £100 a week, and relevant expenses are also paid for.
The internship programme is a full-time programme. However, you can sign up to take part in our teaching days, which happen roughly once a fortnight. To find out more, click here
In your application form you have an opportunity to say if you have a preference of your church placement for the year. This cannot be guaranteed but will be taken into account. If you don’t have a preference, that is absolutely fine – we will chat with you about the type of placement that may be right for you, introduce you to different church leaders, and work together on finding the right placement for you. We won’t go ahead unless there’s agreement from you, the church and the programme.
