Youth Minister, Clifton Parish

Part-time 25hrs per week / £17,857 + 5% pension contribution / Permanent (subject to funding)

Clifton Parish is a huge, lively parish, full of opportunities and potential.  It comprises two Church of England churches, a huge housing estate, a small village, 6 primary schools, a special school, a secondary school and a university campus.  There are also churches of other denominations, shops and health and leisure facilities and the area is served well with buses and trams.

Over the last 6 years, links with schools and the local community have developed, faith has been nurtured and grown and many people have come to know Jesus for the first time.

We are looking for a passionate follower of Jesus with a heart for young people to join the ministry team in order to develop connections outside of church and take ministry to young people in this area onto the next level.

This is a fun opportunity to work and pray as part of a dynamic team who seek to make the most of the opportunities to make Jesus known and see lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit in Clifton.

Key tasks include:

  • Discipleship of existing church youth group
  • Development of weekly Youth Café outreach (100 + young people)
  • Enhance links with local secondary school
  • Invest in volunteers

This post has been made possible by generous funding from the National Church of England.
