We are looking for an energetic, organised and community-minded manager to lead the day-to-day running of our welcoming High Street shop. What you will do

  • Lead, support and coordinate our valued volunteer team.
  • Manage donations, stock, pricing, displays and online sales.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maximise shop income.
  • Maintain accurate financial, banking and administrative records.
  • Promote Village Xchange through community engagement and social media.
  • Ensure safeguarding, data protection, health and safety, and church procedures are followed.

What we are looking for

  • Experience of coordinating or supervising people.
  • Strong communication, organisation and numeracy skills.
  • Confidence handling cash, keeping accurate records and learning new systems.
  • A practical, positive and dependable approach, with the initiative to solve problems.
  • The ability to motivate volunteers and build respectful relationships.
  • A commitment to supporting the mission and values of St Mary’s Church and working respectfully in a Church of England setting.

Retail, charity-sector, volunteer-management, social-media or online-selling experience would be an advantage, but enthusiasm and transferable skills are equally important.
