DAC Clinics coming to a deanery near you
Over the coming 12 months, the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC) Secretary, Jonathan Pickett, is visiting every deanery to hold a drop-in clinic for parishes, incumbents and churchwardens. The hope is that the clinics provide an opportunity to speak to and consult with Jonathan on anything related to the faculty process, church buildings and churchyards. LLM Residential Weekend at Launde Abbey
Last weekend, 31 of our training Licensed Lay Ministers (LLMs) headed to Launde Abbey for their residential weekend. It was an opportunity to get to know each other, share in worship and prayer, and receive teaching on leading like Jesus. Thursday 5th September was a joyful evening as Revd Jenni Foreman was licensed as Vicar of Christ Church, Worksop and St Luke's, Shireoaks and Rhodesia. Over 90% of churches with completed energy footprint tools in 2024
As we continue the journey of caring for creation in our diocese, we're pleased to announce that 91% of churches have completed their energy footprint tool. This is significantly up from the 79% in 2023, and reaches the target set out in the Diocesan Net Zero Carbon Action Plan. The Church of England’s Energy Footprint Tool is way for churches to enter fuel and power use for the previous year. The data collected from the tool helps churches to understand their
