House for Duty (HFD) (time limited interim post*) – North Western Group, Newark & Southwell Deanery

Ministerial Vacancies

Working for us as a member of clergy in one of our rural, urban, or inner city parishes will be as varied and interesting as the people of Nottinghamshire you serve. The diocese is based in the heart of the East Midlands, close to the bustling city of Nottingham, and with easy access to London by train with good transport links up, down and across the country. You can be assured of regular pastoral and spiritual support from our Discipleship and Ministry Team, ensuring that your development needs are met in your Ministerial Development Review, with opportunities for peer support and personal growth.

We are looking for an experienced priest to offer ministry to the villages of Bilsthorpe, Eakring, Walesby, Kirton, Kneesall, Wellow, Laxton, Egmanton, known locally as the North Western group.

The villages have strong links to their local communities and offer the right person the opportunity to lead worship across a variety of styles, while seeking to establish a fruitful shape for ministry and mission into the future.  There are two CofE Schools at Walesby and Kneesall and a Flying High Academy school at Bilsthorpe.

The group benefit from a strong ministry team who would support the house for duty priest and work together to discern the next season for the villages. There are also opportunities for joint working with St. Michael’s Farnsfield and with The Potting Shed Church. The house is situated in Bilsthorpe, the largest of the villages.

If you feel you have the gifts and passion to offer to this role, with a supportive ministry team to work alongside you, then do be in touch.
