1. Mission Associate (1.0 FTE) – Leadership, Discipleship and Local Mission

Do you long to see the Church grow through confident witness, courageous leadership and deepened discipleship?

In Chilwell Parish, we are one family, following Jesus, growing community. We’re looking to appoint a full-time Mission Associate to help lead a bold season of renewal—developing leaders, equipping the church family for making disciples, and cultivating sustainable ministry in our local communities.

This post is central to a strategic shift in internal leadership—helping grow clarity, collaboration and capacity across the whole church. Working closely with the Vicar and senior leaders, you’ll help shape systems and support teams, enabling both paid and volunteer leaders to flourish.

Alongside this, your key areas of responsibility will include:

Making disciples – leading the parish’s efforts to make new disciples, equipping others for confident, natural faith-sharing, and nurturing a culture of welcome and growth;

Inham Nook – overseeing ministry at St Barnabas Church and in the wider neighbourhood, developing worshipping communities, strengthening local partnerships, and helping the Hope Community Hub remain closely aligned to our Gospel-shaped vision.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, creative team where your gifts can be stewarded well and where your input will make a genuine difference.

This is a stipendiary post, designated as an interim role for up to 3 years under Regulation 29(1)(j).

2. Mission Associate (0.75 FTE) – Leadership, Culture and Growth

Are you a team-builder with a Gospel heart—able to lead change gently, grow others intentionally, and help the Church flourish fruitfully?

In Chilwell Parish, we are one family, following Jesus, growing community. We’re now looking for a part-time Mission Associate (0.75 FTE) to help lead a period of culture change and strategic realignment in the life of our parish.

This role is primarily about enabling a shift in leadership culture—supporting internal structures, nurturing collaborative teams, and helping to review and reimagine key areas of ministry. Working with the Vicar and senior leadership team, you’ll help create space for fresh growth and long-term sustainability, through leadership development, wise oversight, and practical coordination.

You’ll also play a key part in helping us grow younger and reach emerging generations through:

strengthening links with our local primary school;

creating space for children, youth and young adults to explore faith;

running nurture courses and celebrating stories of everyday faith.

We’re praying for someone who brings wisdom, dynamism and resilience—a servant-hearted leader who can hold both structure and Spirit in tension. You’ll be part of a supportive, faithful, and outward-looking team seeking to follow Jesus in today’s world.
