Supporting the diocesan mission and the work of clergy across the Diocese, there are a range of support roles working from the modern offices in Southwell. Located opposite the Minster, with plenty of on-site parking, the offices are open plan and provide a attractive working environment. Situated in the middle of the diocese, wrapping around the market town of Southwell cluster 3 is comprised of 3 benefices with two additional parishes from an historical benefice:

  • Farnsfield (Kirklington, Winkburn, Maplebeck)
  • West Trent (Hoveringham, Thurgaton, Halloughton, Bleasby, Morton, Upton, Rolleston)
  • Riverside (North Muskham, South Muskham, Kelham, Averham)

In addition, the cluster includes 2 parishes of the Northwestern Group (Bilsthorpe & Eakring) and Halam, Edingley.

We have opportunities for 2 mission associates (Priest-in-Charge roles): one for West Trent benefice, and the other for the Riverside benefice and offering wider support to the Cluster.

In this cluster, there are 20 churches serving a population of 14,355. There are 3 C of E primary schools and 1 secondary academy at Southwell (The Minster School).
