Working for us as a member of clergy in one of our rural, urban, or inner city parishes will be as varied and interesting as the people of Nottinghamshire you serve. The diocese is based in the heart of the East Midlands, close to the bustling city of Nottingham, and with easy access to London by train with good transport links up, down and across the country. You can be assured of regular pastoral and spiritual support from our Discipleship and Ministry Team, ensuring that your development needs are met in your Ministerial Development Review, with opportunities for peer support and personal growth.

Could God be calling you to St Wilfrid’s, Calverton?
St Wilfrid’s is a welcoming parish church at the heart of Calverton, seeking a new Vicar to lead us into the next chapter of our life and mission. We are a supportive church family with a heart for worship, biblical teaching, pastoral care, generous service and engagement with our village community.
We are looking for a Spirit-led, prayerful and imaginative priest who will help us grow as disciples of Jesus Christ with compassion, confidence and courage. Our new Vicar will encourage inspiring worship, nurture people of all ages, strengthen links with St Wilfrid’s School and local families, and build relationships across the wider community.
With strong lay leadership, lively worship, flourishing children and families work, active pastoral care, a heart for schools and the wider village, and a spacious vicarage next to the church, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a parish ready for its next chapter.
We are praying for a leader who can take us forward with discernment and encouragement, deepen our spiritual life, develop lay gifts, communicate well, and bring fresh ideas as we seek to make Christ known in Calverton.
If you are excited by what God has already been doing amongst us and see the challenges and opportunities, we would love you to explore whether God may be calling you to serve with us at St Wilfrid’s.
