Are you passionate about empowering young leaders and making a lasting impact in the church and society? We’d love to hear from you.
About Us:
At the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham, our vision is Living Hope for the people of Nottinghamshire and beyond. We’re committed to Growing Disciples of Christ with Compassion, Confidence, and Courage. Central to this vision is our Younger Leadership College (YLC), which aims to equip and commission 1,000 young leaders under 30, through internships, training, and a growing network.
The Role:
You’ll play a key role in supporting young leaders as they begin their journey through the YLC’s internship and discipleship training. You’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering the Apprentice Track programme, helping to grow leaders to be spiritually and practically equipped for their calling in the church and wider society.
What You’ll Do:
Live as an Apprentice: Walk in the way of Jesus and be an example to those you lead.
Lead the Recruitment Process: Manage the full intern recruitment process – from advertising to onboarding.
Shape the Apprentice Track: Develop and deliver a transformative programme focused on spiritual formation and leadership.
Support Younger Interns: Provide tailored support for younger (18-19 year-old) interns, guiding their personal and spiritual growth.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with the Growing Younger team to build a pipeline of future leaders.
Provide Pastoral Oversight: Offer one-on-one and group pastoral support to interns as they grow in their faith and leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
A heart for mentoring and discipleship, with a commitment to your own spiritual growth.
Experience in discipleship programmes for 18-30s, with pastoral ministry experience.
Knowledge of Christian leadership and spiritual formation.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage competing priorities.
A full UK driving licence for travel across the Diocese.
Why Join Us?
This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of leaders in the Church and beyond. Join a committed team, work with inspiring young leaders, and play a key role in fulfilling our vision of compassionate, confident, and courageous followers of Christ. We’d love to hear from you.
