A joyful day of baptisms at St Christopher’s Sneinton
Last Sunday was a joyful day at St Christopher’s Sneinton as 7 new disciples were baptised in an exciting moment in the life of the church!
Revd. Marsha Farmer, curate at St Christopher’s, shared:
“It was a glorious day and such a moment of celebration that St Christopher’s is growing! There was devotion, passion and tears of gratitude from these new disciples who committed to following Jesus with all of who they are – the place was full of the joy of Jesus!”

Marsha began leading at St Christopher’s following her ordination last summer, as part of a partnership with St Nic’s Nottingham. She described the journey leading to last Sunday as ‘like a garden that’s been worked on: seeds planted and tentatively watered, then one day you go out and see these vivid green, fresh new shoots’.

Some of those being baptised shared their stories. One young man, shared how since stepping into St Christopher’s a few months ago and deciding to give his life to Jesus, he has felt incredible peace where he once struggled with anxiety. Another candidate shared that people who knew her before and saw how her life was, have noticed the huge change in her since she has decided to follow Jesus.
We are so thankful to God for these stories of transformation, and invite you to join us in praying for more lives to be changed by the living hope of Jesus across the diocese.
