21.5 hours per week, term time only / salary: £18,030 (0.5 of £36,060 Full-Time Equivalent) per annum / plus 10% pension contribution / permanent

An exciting vacancy exists for a School Chaplain at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy, Mansfield. This is a permanent 0.5 role (21.5 hours per week, term time only – calculated on the basis of a year-round approximate 17.5-hour post), subject to successful completion of an induction period.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and visionary individual (lay or ordained) who can support and develop the Christian ethos of this secondary church academy. The successful candidate will have proven ability to communicate and engage well with young people, guide sensitively their spiritual development and support them pastorally. They will be an excellent communicator, have relevant experience and be both a leader and a team player. They will also have a deep faith of their own, as an occupational requirement of the role, and be ‘the public face of God’ across the academy community.
