Mission Associate (Priest-in-Charge), Northwestern Group

Ministerial Vacancies

Working for us as a member of clergy in one of our rural, urban, or inner city parishes will be as varied and interesting as the people of Nottinghamshire you serve. The diocese is based in the heart of the East Midlands, close to the bustling city of Nottingham, and with easy access to London by train with good transport links up, down and across the country. You can be assured of regular pastoral and spiritual support from our Discipleship and Ministry Team, ensuring that your development needs are met in your Ministerial Development Review, with opportunities for peer support and personal growth.

Come and share in God’s work across our beautiful rural villages

We are seeking a priest who will love our communities, honour our rich heritage and traditions, and help us step boldly into the future God is calling us to. Rooted in a strong farming heritage, our churches are deeply woven into village life and are full of opportunity for mission, ministry and growth.

Our diocesan vision is to grow disciples of Christ with Compassion, Confidence and Courage across every context of diocesan life. We long to see this vision flourish in our rural villages, and we have developed an innovative model of mission and ministry to support that calling. Shaped by what we have learned so far, our approach to rural revitalisation connects local missional opportunities with strategic resources and leadership, united around a shared vision and led by our ordained Lead Mission Enablers.

We are looking to appoint clergy who are inspired by this vision to stipendiary Mission Associate (Priest-in-Charge) posts within our rural clusters. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in a shared mission, helping to lead renewal, nurture discipleship and encourage churches to flourish.

This role sits alongside two other stipendiary colleagues in Cluster 2 and serves the parishes of the Northwestern Group: Walesby, Kirton, Laxton, Wellow, Egmanton and Kneesall.

Do you have the gifts, vision and calling to be part of this exciting journey? Are you passionate about seeing lives transformed and churches thrive? Can you bring creativity, collaboration and faith-filled leadership to a well-resourced team of lay and ordained colleagues?

Our parishes are beautiful places in which to live and serve, and as a diocese we are committed to working together to see local churches grow in health, confidence and impact. You will be supported through learning communities, leadership development, training and the expertise of our diocesan team at Jubilee House.
