NEW VICAR IN HUTHWAITE
Revd. Emma Wilkinson at present Assistant Curate of Christ Church Windhill, St Paul’s Shipley, St Peter’s Shipley and The Eldwick Church in the Diocese of Leeds to be Vicar of All Saints, Huthwaite. The licensing date is to be confirmed. Please pray for Emma as she prepares for this move.

MOVING ON
Revd. Canon Dr Richard Frith at present Canon Precentor in our Cathedral Church of St Mary the Virgin, Southwell has been appointed as Vicar of Doncaster and Oversight Minister of Doncaster City Centre in the Diocese of Sheffield. We’re grateful for Richard’s ministry in the diocese, please do pray for him as he prepares for this new role.
BISHOP’S OFFICE

Revd. Emily Charkham will be be leaving her role as Bishop’s Chaplain in mid-May having been appointed been appointed Associate Minister at Christ Church Surbiton Hill, in the Diocese of Southwark. Emily’s licensing will take place on Sunday 7th June 2026, 10.30am at Christ Church, Surbiton Hill. Bishop Paul shared, “Emily has been an immensely dedicated, caring and visionary part of the diocesan team, serving for three years as Assistant and then senior Chaplain, after her curacy at St Luke’s Gamston. It will be sad to say farewell but give thanks for this new opportunity in a vibrant and growing church in Southwest London where Emily will be a great blessing.” The role of Bishop’s Chaplain will be advertised in due course.

Carolyn Young has joined the Bishop’s Office as Bishop’s Head of Staff and Strategic Projects. Among other things, she will be helping to facilitate the development of key partnerships across the diocese, including civic leaders, as well as in the wider church and national life. Carolyn knows the East Midlands well, having grown up in Sutton-in Ashfield. She brings experience and skills having worked in senior roles in the charity sector, until recently a Director with the Art Fund, where she worked for fifteen years. As a committed Christian, Carolyn has served in various roles in her church while living in London; she is also a trustee of the Church Urban Fund.
