St Mellitus Offers Part-Time Ordination Training

St Mellitus East Midlands is now offering a part-time pathway for ordination training and theological education on Monday evenings in Leicester.

Thanks to innovation of the Sponsoring Bishops, this new pathway pioneers a hybrid model of training that combines in-person and online teaching. It is hoped that the pathway will increase the accessibility of theological study and ordination training in the region whilst complementing other existing training models and pathways.

Martyn Snow, Bishop of Leicester, and Chair of the St Mellitus East Midlands Advisory Board, writes: “We realise that flexibility is so important for people wanting to train for ministry and we believe this part-time pathway will open up possibilities for many people in the region.”

St Mellitus East Midlands opened in September 2019 and seeks to serve the mission and ministry of the Church in the region by offering full-time context-based ordination training, full-time and part-time undergraduate study, and part-time postgraduate study on Tuesdays in Nottingham, and part-time ordination training, as well as part-time undergraduate study on Monday evenings in Leicester.

Applications for all St Mellitus College 2022 programmes are now open here, St Mellitus College.
