Holy Week at St Michael’s Bramcote was a rich journey of worship, reflection, and celebration, as the church community moved from Palm Sunday through to the joy of Easter Day. The week began on Palm Sunday, remembering Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. Services across the day explored themes of welcome, expectation, and Jesus’ path of servanthood and sacrifice, with worship, teaching, drama, and choral evensong bringing the story to life. The congregation of All Saints Church Radford enjoyed a well-attended Lent study group, following Lent Wise: Spiritual Essentials for Real Life by Paula Gooder. The course focused on finding direction, keeping going, gaining wisdom, finding security, and enjoying refreshment in the journey of Christian discipleship. Each session concluded with a celebration of the Eucharist, and relationships with Jesus and with one another were strengthened and deepened. Easter was a busy and joyful time at St Mary the Virgin & All Souls, Bulwell! On Good Friday, St Mary’s 87th Nottingham Guides were fundraising at Bulwell Tesco as part of the church’s Lent Appeal, raising money for new equipment. St Helen Church in Thorney (East Trent Group) welcomed families for a special Good Friday event in its newly reordered nave. The redesigned space allowed tables for activities and easy movement, a big improvement over crafting on pews with boards!
