FUEL Shines on ‘Songs of Praise’: Celebrating Faith in Young People

It was wonderful to see FUEL, a monthly youth gathering hosted by Trinity Church Nottingham, featured on the BBC’s Songs of Praise last Sunday, celebrating the faith of young people in today’s generation. Hosted by Laura Wright, the episode showcased the FUEL gathering, where young people from different churches across the diocese join each month for an evening of worship, prayer, Bible teaching, and games. In recent years, the youth congregation at Trinity has grown from 7 to about 70, and events like FUEL provide opportunities for young people, including those new to faith, to encounter Jesus.

As Megan, one of the young leaders, shared: ‘Our young people are becoming the fire that ignites the passion for Jesus in the church.’

We are deeply grateful for how God is working through young people across the diocese, and we join in prayer that they will continue to encounter Jesus and have the courage to share His good news with everyone.
