Easter at St Saviour’s Nottingham

Palm Sunday at St Saviour’s, Nottingham was an amazing gathering, with a bit of a twist. Church was taken beyond the building – similar to an ‘Open House’. There was gardening, hospitality outside, prayer on the streets, litter picking, and child-friendly activities, including a family prayer trail through The Meadows. Along the way, they prayed for families, local schools, the precinct, and the park—lifting up teachers, children, and all who live in the community.

St Saviour’s Kids and their families led the way, praying for peace and joy to spill out onto the streets this Easter season, while others served, gardened, loved, and prayed in and around the church.

The ‘Good Friday Family Drop-In’ and ‘Evening Reflection’ provided a special opportunity to learn more about the Easter story and reflect together.

On Easter Sunday, the church family came together for a joyful baptism service, celebrating the resurrection of Christ, who has set us free. It was a wonderful day of worship, hope, and rejoicing.
