Nottingham Churches Walk of Witness
On Good Friday, around 400 people from churches across Nottingham joined in an ecumenical Walk of Witness. The moving procession marked the first time such an event has taken place in the city in at least 15 years, representing a significant moment of Christian unity and public witness.
Bishop Andy joined the process alongside Bishop Patrick McKinney (Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Nottingham), the Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, Professor Veronica Pickering MBE HAC, and faith leaders from different Christian communities across the city. The procession began at Nottingham’s catholic cathedral, making its way through the city pausing at Old Market Square, concluding at St Mary’s in the Lace Market with a special service marking the day.
