Upcoming Diocesan Days of Prayer in 2026
Our Diocesan Days of Prayer in 2026 will continue after a short break in July and August. These days are important opportunities to bring members of multiple churches together in prayer as we continue seeking to grow disciples of Christ with compassion, confidence and courage across the diocese. On these evenings of prayer and worship, we are praying for a fresh move of the Holy Spirit in our lives, our churches and our schools, such that will bring an overflow of God’s blessing to people everywhere across our city, county and beyond.
Each Diocesan Day of Prayer is on the second Thursday of the month, and you can find all the 2026 dates below. Following our June date, we will have a short break over July and August, before resuming our normal rhythm from September to the end of the year.
Unless we say otherwise closer to the time, each evening event runs from 7:30 to 9pm, with refreshments available from 7pm.
- Thursday 14th June at St Mary’s, Radcliffe on Trent
- Thursday 10th September
- Thursday 8th October
- Thursday 12th November
- Thursday 10th December
All are welcome at these evening meetings. You may wish to attend as part of a group from your church or as a leadership team, but whether you come alone or with others, you will be welcomed into a space in which we will all join together to worship and pray for our region as one body of Christ.
In addition to our diocesan prayer evening, you are also welcome to join Nottingham City Prayer’s morning meeting, which takes place on the same Thursdays at various churches around the city. You can find all the details of their events on their website.
If you are in the vicinity of Southwell Minster, they are always pleased to welcome visitors to their daily pattern of services, with various times for prayer and worship throughout the day.
