Applications for the School of Worship 2027 are Now Open!

The School of Worship is a programme run by Trinity Church Nottingham, open to leaders and teams from across the diocese and beyond. The Leadership Programme aims to equip those who lead contemporary sung worship and/or contemporary worship teams, developing their skills in leading worship and helping others encounter God. Now in its fourth year, previous contributors have included Tim Hughes, Graham Kendrick, Nick Herbert, Lucy Grimble and more.

The programme’s vision centres around three main areas of focus: Head, Heart and Hands. It is designed to work alongside your personal, professional and church commitments, and you don’t need to be in a paid worship-leading role to take part.

The programme runs across six Saturdays over a ten-month period, from January to October. Each session takes place from 9:30am to 3:00pm, providing plenty of time to explore Spirit-led worship in depth. Sessions include practical topics such as choosing songs, an introduction to sound, and leading a rehearsal.

Previous participants shared:

“The School of Worship has meant that I’ve grown in confidence to create the space for those in the congregation to encounter the goodness of God.”

“By doing the School of Worship this year I’ve found space to come to grips with questions like “how do we lead worship well?” and “what’s our heart for worship?” and a great group of people to explore that with.”

“We’ve been travelling 2 hours from Yorkshire to be here because it’s been really important for us to set aside the time to press into what we think God is doing in worship in the UK. There’s something really authentic and precious here that we’ve been able to dip into and be encouraged.”

We’re so pleased to share this exciting resource with you and encourage you to consider whether the programme may be suitable for you or someone in your church, as together we continue to pursue inspiring worship and grow leaders across the diocese.
