Diocese Prayer Run: Days 2 & 3
The Diocese Prayer run is a 120km route stretching from the north of the diocese to the south. The run is taking place over the 21st - 26th October and is an opportunity to pray for Living Hope in the city, towns and villages of Nottinghamshire and beyond. Diocesan Synod 12 October 2024 On Saturday 12th October the newly elected Diocesan Synod met at The Minster School, Southwell for the first meeting of the new Triennium (2024-27). An Inspiring Three Days at Diocesan Conference 2024

New support and grants available for church buildings
We're pleased to announce that as part of the Church Commissioner’s £11 million Building for Mission fund, administered by the Archbishops’ Council over the period 2023 to 2025, the diocese was recently awarded funding towards building repairs and specialist advice to parishes. Free hot drinks for students with Holy Trinity Lenton’s coffee cart
This week has been Welcome Week at the University of Nottingham, and as part of a week of various outreach events for students, Holy Trinity Lenton headed out with their coffee cart to hand out free hot drinks on University Park campus, meeting both freshers and returning students. The coffee cart was bought with support from the diocese's Growing Disciples Fund, and the team in Lenton regularly go out in the local area to give out free hot drinks and chat
An exciting launch for the new Flourish ‘church in school’ pilot
On Wednesday afternoon pupils, teachers, school chaplains and church leaders gathered at Jubilee House for the diocesan launch of the Flourish pilot. Flourish is a national initiative aiming to launch 40 new worshipping communities in schools and colleges, in partnership with the local church, to help foster a younger and more diverse church. DAC Clinics coming to a deanery near you
Over the coming 12 months, the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC) Secretary, Jonathan Pickett, is visiting every deanery to hold a drop-in clinic for parishes, incumbents and churchwardens. The hope is that the clinics provide an opportunity to speak to and consult with Jonathan on anything related to the faculty process, church buildings and churchyards. Thursday 5th September was a joyful evening as Revd Jenni Foreman was licensed as Vicar of Christ Church, Worksop and St Luke's, Shireoaks and Rhodesia.
