Cultivating Peace in Turbulent Times: Apprentice Track Network Gathering
“We speak the name of Jesus”
Last Thursday was a special evening of worship, community and ministry as over 30 young adults gathered at St Saviour’s Nottingham for a the Apprentice Track’s first network gathering of the year.

The evening began with refreshments and a chance to chat and meet new people, before a time of prayer and sung worship.
Exploring the theme of ‘Cultivating Peace in Turbulent Times’, we were joined by Margaret Bristow. Margaret is a trained and experienced psychotherapist with many years of experience, working both in the UK and overseas in this field. She is a speaker, counsellor, mentor and author, passionate about seeing people come into greater personal freedom; for each of us to understand our intrinsic worth and significance. She has written 2 books: ‘Re-thinking Anxiety’ and‘Re-thinking Who I Really Am’.
Margaret ended the session powerfully by reading out the lyrics of worship song, ‘I Speak Jesus’ (Charity Gayle and Steven Musso), which summed up her talk on living a life of peace and not one of fear.
“We speak the name of Jesus over every heart and every mind,
because we know there is peace within His presence.
We speak Jesus.”

One attendee, Georgie, shared:
“The last network event was an incredible time of intimacy with Jesus. I loved learning about how to particularly live lives of peace, instead of being driven by fear. It was so cool to see Jesus alive and well ministering deep peace to people after the talk. I’m so grateful for these spaces and the way Jesus uses them. Hallelujah!”
Ethan, a second year intern, reflected:
“Viewing our relationship with God and how we interact with the world through the lens of attachment styles was so eye-opening. Mar gave a relatable and applicable guide on how to surrender our deepest emotions to God, inviting us into closeness with him. It was so special to have a place to receive teaching, and then come together in community through prayer and worship.”
