Easter at St Mary the Virgin & All Souls, Bulwell

Easter was a busy and joyful time at St Mary the Virgin & All Souls, Bulwell!

On Good Friday, St Mary’s 87th Nottingham Guides were fundraising at Bulwell Tesco as part of the church’s Lent Appeal, raising money for new equipment. Rev Bob Stephens, Associate Priest, and members of the congregation joined the Bulwell Churches Together Walk of Witness through the town. The church’s Flower Ladies also created a stunning Garden of Repose.

Around 100 children and adults also took part in the Good Friday Family Event, enjoying Easter-themed arts and crafts, making doughnut Easter Gardens and Easter Chicks, and sharing a communal lunch.

Earlier in the week, all local primary schools were invited to experience St Mary’s Easter Experience, exploring the Easter story in a hands-on way.

Easter Sunday saw over 150 people gather at the church to celebrate the Resurrection together.
