Free hot drinks for students with Holy Trinity Lenton’s coffee cart
This week has been Welcome Week at the University of Nottingham, and as part of a week of various outreach events for students, Holy Trinity Lenton headed out with their coffee cart to hand out free hot drinks on University Park campus, meeting both freshers and returning students.
The coffee cart was bought with support from the diocese’s Growing Disciples Fund, and the team in Lenton regularly go out in the local area to give out free hot drinks and chat to students and local residents. As they gave out hot drinks on Wednesday, they invited students to their Student Burger Night later in the day, as well as to services on Sunday.
Revd. Daniele Bocchetti, Curate in Lenton and Anglican Chaplain at the University of Nottingham, shared, “We had a fantastic time with a team of students, getting our coffee cart out to Uni Park for UoN Welcome Week. It was great to give out free hot chocolates and coffees to the students on campus as part of our vision to be a hopeful presence for the people of Lenton. We can’t wait to be back!”
Join us in praying for the thousands of students at both the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent, as well as for the churches reaching out and inviting students to discover the love of Jesus for themselves during their time at university.
