Jubilee House Volunteer Day
It was such a joy for the central support team from Jubilee House to head out to St Lawrence’s Mansfield and St Stephen’s Sneinton last week for our annual Volunteer Day, working with teams from both churches to help clear and refresh the spaces. The two teams spent time painting, clearing, weeding, mowing, and even building a shed!
We’re so thankful to have been able to partner with these churches, and for the amazing welcome they gave us.
Lynda Blakeley, curate at St Stephen’s shared, “I’m not sure how to put into words how to thank all of you for the huge hard work you did – it was absolutely amazing and such an encouragement to me and everyone here [at St Stephen’s]. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving up your time and serving with such joy and patience.”
The Volunteer Day is an opportunity for the team at Jubilee House to help out and make a positive impact in some of our parishes in a really practical way. It was a great opportunity to strengthen the sense of team and reinforce our commitment to serving the diocese with compassion. Look out for an opportunity to nominate your church for our 2025 volunteer day.
