Easter Stories – Part 1
It's been such an incredible Holy Week and Easter across our Diocese. Scroll below for part 1 of some short stories from across our churches. Easter at Ravenshead
We had a wonderful holy week here in Ravenshead parish which included a bumper attendance at our relatively new Sunday@Four children and family service on Palm Sunday when 66 adults and children came to worship through craft, games, prayer stations, bible stories, music and reflection, plus fun and food. Easter at The River Idle Benefice Churches
About 40 people gathered, a little bleary eyed, on Easter Sunday at 6.30am to celebrate what is now an annual event at Pusto Hill Farm. As dawn broke, we celebrated the joy of Easter morning, thinking about how Jesus rolls our stones away, singing and praying together whilst being immersed in a full sensory experience of new life, complete with the birds and cows joining in! Easter at St James Porchester Nottingham
The Church started Holy Week open as members of the congregation had produced artwork for the Gedling Deanery Way of the Cross. We celebrated a church family Passover style meal, where Robin Aldridge from the Churches Ministry among Jews came to explain all the elements and meaning. Afterward we shared communion in church.
