Licensing of Jenni Foreman as Vicar of Christ Church Worksop and St Luke’s Shireoaks & Rhodesia
Thursday 5th September was a joyful evening as Revd Jenni Foreman was licensed as Vicar of Christ Church, Worksop and St Luke’s, Shireoaks and Rhodesia.
Bishop Andy Emerton and Revd Dave Gough (Area Dean for Bassetlaw & Bawtry) led the service, with Archdeacon Tors Ramsey sharing an encouraging message on the radical whole-life worship demonstrated by the woman who anointed Jesus in Luke 7, inviting Jenni and the community in Worksop to join together on a journey formed around worship, modelling their lives on the words from Paul in Colossians 3, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
Jenni has moved from Hull with her husband Jamie, and children Talia and Nathaniel, and shared of the wonderful welcome the community in Worksop have shown since they arrived:
“We are so thrilled to be joining the communities at Christ Church and St Luke’s, and have been absolutely blown away by the love and warm welcome we have been shown. We are looking forward to getting stuck in and discovering all God has for our churches in this next season.”
We are so delighted to welcome Jenni and her family, and pray for a fresh move of the Holy Spirit that will bring an overflow of God’s blessing to these churches and communities.
