National Church of England Digital Pilot Programme for Christmas
The National Church of England have a new opportunity for local churches to participate in a digital skills pilot programme for this Advent and Christmas season.
What’s the programme about?
The programme will provide six churches with bespoke support from national experts to enhance their digital ministry and outreach. With a mixture of training webinars and other resources, the Church of England’s Digital team will offer:
· Personalised advice on how to make the most of your online presence through social media, websites, AChurchNearYou.com and other digital tools.
· Guidance on encouraging digital giving and safeguarding
· Funding to run a small Christmas advertising campaign, with ad setup included

Look at your current giving options and find ways to make it easier for people to give, while encouraging generosity this Advent and Christmas.
Next Steps in the ‘User Journey’
Create a plan to stay connected with people after Christmas using emails and online tools, and welcome them to future events or invite them to get involved.
By participating, your church can learn and implement new ways to engage with your community and encourage more people to return for services and event in the new year.
Is your church an ideal candidate?
They are looking for participants who:
· Are already using digital platforms as part of their church’s ministry, but would like to improve their skills and output
· Have a specific member of the clergy, staff or volunteer who looks after the church’s digital presence
· Have time for this person to attend four online training sessions/webinars in November
· Have the capacity to put their learnings into practice over the Advent and Christmas period
