November’s Diocesan Day of Prayer

We are excited to invite you to the next Diocesan Day of Prayer coming up on Thursday 13th November. As we continue to seek to develop opportunities to continue growing in prayer, for the November and December’s days of prayer we will be holding multiple gatherings across the diocese. Bishop Paul and Bishop Andy are looking forward to being present for all of these and do hope you will consider joining them where you can.

On Thursday 13th November, we will be holding prayer gatherings at four of the old ‘gates’ of the city of Nottingham, inspired by the Nottingham City Prayer movement’s own journey of prayer. You would also be welcome to join in Nottingham City Prayer at 7am (location TBC). These gatherings are open to all and are an opportunity for worship and to pray for a fresh move of the Holy Spirit in our lives, our churches and our schools, such that will bring an overflow of God’s blessing to people everywhere across our city, county and beyond.

The gatherings will be as follows (please click on each location for more information):

1-2pm – St Christopher’s Sneinton

Address: 85 Colwick Rd, Sneinton, Nottingham NG2 4AL

Parking: there is on-street parking around the church.

3-4pm – Holy Trinity Lenton

7.30-9pm – St Giles’ West Bridgford

Refreshments will be served from 7pm.

Address: St Giles’ Church, Church Drive, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 6AY

Parking: There is a small church car park on Bridgford Road, opposite Fotomargo. Parking is also available at the nearby Co-op and Central Avenue car parks which are pay & display.

7.30-9pm – St Andrew’s Nottingham

In December, we will then be heading outwards to four ‘gates’ of the wider diocese in the north, south, east and west. These venues are to be confirmed, but do look out for more information in the coming weeks.

We hope that these days will continue be a valuable opportunity to spend time in prayer and listening to God together as a diocese. You may wish to come as a church group or as a leadership team, using this as an opportunity to receive, to be encouraged and to be blessed by time together with God.
