Revd Lee Dunleavy’s Ordination as Priest
Last night, in a special service at Saint Cyprian’s Church, Nottingham, the Revd Lee Dunleavy (who is a curate in this diocese) was ordained as Priest.
It was a moving service led by the Rt Revd Stephen Race, the Bishop of Beverley with Bishop Andy and other clergy from the diocese attending in support of Fr Lee. On the Eve of the Annunciation of Our Lord to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bishop Stephen spoke about how Mary carried Jesus – who is God with us – and how Fr Lee in his priestly ministry, and each of us also, have the privilege of knowing God with us in every situation, and are called to reflect Him and His presence in our lives.

Fr Lee was supported by family, friends and those from the congregations of St George in the Meadows Nottingham and St Cyprian’s, as he enters this new phase of ministry.

Please join us in praying for Fr Lee as he continues to serve in the parishes of St George in the Meadows, with St John the Baptist, Leenside, and St Cyprian of Carthage, Sneinton.
