A Joyous weekend at Thorney
What a joyous weekend we had! On Saturday 18th May we met with some of our children and made ‘crowns’ with tissue paper flames, a Whit Doll, dressed in white ready for baptism or confirmation and cakes were decorated. As we told the Pentecost story our crowns were worn and our candles were lit. Then we exchanged tales of Whitsun treats, new outfits especially for Whitsun and our baptisms, mostly as adults! Significant milestones of faith at St Anne’s in Worksop
What a wonderful Pentecost day at St Anne's here in Worksop, as we celebrated with Edie, Aimee and John on their baptism day, marking a significant milestone in their spiritual journey. A ceremony filled with touching moments, prayers, songs, blessings and the lighting of candles, representing the light of Jesus guiding their path. Afterwards we continued the celebrations in the church Hall with good food, magnificent puddings as family and friends gathered with the wider church family for laughter and fellowship As the

Silver Eco Cathedral Award for Southwell Minster
Southwell Minster is delighted to have achieved the Silver Eco Cathedral with ARocha, the Christian environmental charity. The Minster has held ‘Bronze’ status since 2020 but it now joins Southwell’s Holy Trinity and Jubilee House, as well as many other churches across the county in formally demonstrating a higher level of engagement. Not only does this reflect emphasis upon care for the environment in regular worship, wild-flowering sections of the Minster grounds, efficient boilers, and secondary double glazing where possible, it
