We're delighted to share the celebrations for our priest ordinands which took place on Saturday 2 July at Southwell Minster. We'd like to give our thanks to both family and friends for the love and support they have given to this year's deacons and priests.

What a truly memorable and powerful weekend it has been in the life of those who have been ordained and across the parishes of Southwell and Nottingham; it is always such a joy to welcome new deacons!
July 5th
Today, we pray for the ministry of hospitality and welcome exercised by vergers at the Minster and across our churches. We also pray for Te Pihopatanga o Manawa o Te Wheke – The Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia (Maori Tikanga)
July 4
Today, we pray for Nottingham St Jude (John Allister) and The Diocese of Malindi – The Anglican Church of Kenya
July 3rd
On 3rd Sunday after Trinity, we pray for Netherfield, St George (Vacant; Area Dean: John Allister; Lay Chair: Tony Mellor; Churchwardens: Lillian Barnett, Julie Ball) and The Anglican Church of Tanzania
July 2nd
Today, we pray for Sector Based Ministry at Whatton Prison (Dave Clarke) and The Diocese of Malek Rup – The Province of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan (Eastern Bahr el Ghazal Province)

Bishop Paul and Sarah were on a hillside looking over Southwell Minster this morning for Start the Day, reading from Luke 10 and celebrating how God is calling people to serve him in new ways, praying especially for those being ordained this weekend.
