Second round of grants available for church buildings
The second round applications for grants for minor repairs and improvements to your church buildings open this Friday 21st February. The closing date for applications will be 31st March at 12pm, with awards made May 2025. As part of the Church Commissioner’s £11 million Building for Mission fund, administered by the Archbishops’ Council over the period 2023 to 2025, in late 2024 the diocese was awarded funding towards building repairs and specialist advice to parishes. PARISH NEW VICAR IN SOUTHWELL Revd. Jonathan Morley was licensed as Vicar at Holy Trinity Southwell on Monday 13th January. Jonathan trained for ordination at St. Mellitus College in London, before moving to Aldridge in the West Midlands where he served his curacy in the Parish of Aldridge. Nurture courses running across the diocese this new year
This term, as a diocese we're focusing on enabling commitment, one of our seven areas of focus. We're praying for 50 nurture courses to be running across the length and breadth of the diocese.
