Holy week was a big week in the life of St Stephens. Children from St Stephens C of E School put together a Holy Week Pilgrimage and came to live it out in church at their Easter Service. Each class (year group) shared different aspects of the Easter Story. The whole school filled every seat in church including standing room at the back.  We then had Wednesday and Thursday as Retreat Days, sharing this time with Urban Abbey (House of Prayer

  2024 marks 30 years since the first women in the Church of England were ordained priest. In celebration of this the diocese are organising a gathering for female clergy and ordinands on Monday 24th June 2024, at 3:30-4:40pm. There will be tea in the garden with Sarah and Bishop Paul at Bishop's Manor, Southwell, followed by Festal Evensong with the Girls' Cathedral Choir at 5:30pm in Southwell Minister. The twelve graduating Licensed Lay Minsters have returned from the first ever retreat to mark the end of their 2 years of training. In the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District, they spent time in prayer and reflecting on their time together.
