Join the DISCIPLE Course 2025 in Mansfield and Aslockton
The DISCIPLE course, launched in 2024, is returning again this summer term with courses taking place at St Lawrence’s Mansfield and St Thomas’ Aslockton.
Disciple is an 8-week course designed to inspire and equip you to follow the teachings of Jesus into real life. The course will help to shape you as a disciple, exploring the 3C’s of the refreshed diocesan vision in detail & practice: disciples motivated by compassion; disciples founded on confidence; and disciples acting with courage.
This year, there are two opportunities to attend the course:
- Tuesday evenings at St Thomas Church in Aslockton
- Thursday evenings at St Lawrence Church in Mansfield
Both evenings will run 7.30pm – 9.15pm and include worship, a talk, an opportunity to discuss in small groups, as well as to pray together. Speakers this years include Revd. Angelika Bocchetti (Lead for DISCIPLE & Lay Ministry), Revd. James Halstead (Director of Discipleship & Ministry), and others from across the diocese sharing what being a disciple looks like in their context, sharing some practices to help you take the next step.
