Young Leaders Adventure Weekend

Last weekend, some of our young people across the diocese took part in the Young Leaders Weekend 2026, joining other young leaders from across Nottinghamshire for a time of learning, worship and connection.

Throughout the weekend, they enjoyed outdoor activities, games and opportunities to build friendships, while exploring what the Bible teaches about leadership and how they can serve their communities.

It was an inspiring time of growth and encouragement, and they came away feeling equipped and motivated to continue leading and making a difference in the places they live.

Grace Aldridge, Youth Minister at St Michael’s Farnsfield, shared:

“The young leader’s weekend was an amazing opportunity for our older youth to be inspired and encouraged in their leadership giftings alongside others their age. Not only did they have lots of space to reflect on their leadership giftings but also had the chance to put it in practice, leading their peers in worship/preaching/prayers. They came away feeling inspired, with newfound friendships and newfound confidence (which was also put to the test in all the outdoor activities they got involved with over the weekend!) As their youth leader, it was so joyful to see their growth over the course of the weekend and I’m excited to see the impact continue in our church/youth group.”

We are thankful for the great work our churches are doing with our young people. Please join us in praying for all who have attended, and organised this inspiring weekend.
